If you're not a gym buff, there are loads of classes out there from Bollywood dancing to Pilates, as well as various sports teams.

Ringing in the New Year with a resolution to become healthy? Try not to be like the 85% of people who do no more than make a couple of gym visits every January. Trying to get fit is both smart and fashionable – ‘skinny’ just doesn’t cut it anymore.

Crash diets are a bad idea because they stifle your metabolism and eventually you end up actually gaining weight. It’s important to make changes in your lifestyle to embrace a healthier, happier you. Apart from just eating healthy, regular exercise and training are required as well.

Who is ” we ” ? Is that two of you? A twin sister? A brother? A majestic ‘we’?
Somehow these locations sound elitist. Not your average person’s hangouts.
What if you don’t live in any of these plush [assuming they are] neighborhoods?
How about thirty minutes of exercise, recommended by cardiologists, daily, for
your cardio- vascular. Even if it means just walking at a brisk pace. Very important.
It does good for your waistline too. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator. Park
your car far, if possible, from the Mall door, office door, etc. You can do exercises
while sitting in a chair at work, watching TV, or even working on your computer.
If you write about every day common joe or jane exercises, preferably done at home,
it will more appreciated, with multiple thanks.
A thousand pardons, in advance, if all this sounds brash or presumptuous.Recommend

Do only the residents of DHA and Clifton need to recover from the food coma? How about a more diverse list?Recommend

Typical elite class mindset. First they eat too much then they waste time in the gym trying to shed that fat.
If you are just going to “burn” your calories then why do you eat so much?
Why can’t you do something productive instead of just lifting and lowering weights? volunteer at some NGO or somewhere. You will get physical exercise that way.
To be honest it is pretty shameful that half of the country is starving and then there are some who eat so much and waste so much.
P.S Comment is not targeted at people who suffer from obesity due to any mental of physical condition.Recommend

I cannot imagine average Pakistanis can afford these gyms. Your intention is well directed and you want to promote a healthy lifestyle. But with the polarity of wealth in Pakistan I dont even have the heart to look forward to any thing luxurious no matter if its even a bar of expensive soap. People who earn average 25000 Rs. per month with 2 mouths to fee or someone even with 60000 Rs per month cannot properly afford these gyms in Khi. We the people are actually poor, even if we go take a walk in the park cops or families feel suspicious. Hamari ghurbat hamare chahre say nazar aati hai. How can people afford these things? We dont need gym advice, we need to advise on how to save 6000Rs per month and multiply our savings to 80000Rs per month so that we could give a decent send off to our children or pay dowry. Its better you stay in Defence and visit interior Karachi on occasion and write a blog on how your Local Nihari experience was. Regards. Chachu Pehlwan from Chacha Ka Akhara.Recommend

Where is the arena gym? there are other gyms too, and where do people go if they live in malir, lyari, Tariq road, PECHS, gulshan etc etc, Very limited scope of the article. People go to gym not to see the new weights and cardio machines, they go to be fit and a good trainer can be available in gyms with much cheaper ratesRecommend

You have playfully given the perception that people visit gyms to burn off fat gained by over indulgence…………but you know that’s not the whole true.Recommend

Obviously there are a lot of ways of maintaining a balanced diet and remaining fit. But the main purpose of this article is to just the highlight best gyms in town. If one can afford it and one can’t, that’s a different issue altogether.
Just by the way, Core has its branch in Tipu Sultan as well and its pretty reasonable also. I think we all should stop being so harsh and not blame everything on the ‘burger awaam’.Recommend

How about if you name some gyms in Landhi, Orangi Town, Lee Market, Lyari, Saddar, Gulshan, Azizabad, FB Area, Nazimabad etc etc? Author has no sense of writing and addressing an issue, it was just a waste of time and wordsRecommend

Almost all comments in the entire section are against the blog.
