To the Taliban, We are Pakistan and we will never forgive you

Published: December 17, 2014

A child prays during a candle light vigil for the victims of Taliban attack on a school in Peshawar, at a private School in Chennai. PHOTO: PTI

You can burn down our schools, tear the lives of families apart and ask minors to recite the kalma before you shoot them in the head. You can wage a war against humanity, impose a rule of tyranny and redefine oppression. Your guns can shoot, but their voices will never echo louder than the resolve of this nation.

Your flames will burn out, but a nation will still emerge from its ashes, even if it is battered, bruised and beaten. You will run out of lives to give, but there will always be a Pakistani ready to lay his or hers down for their homeland.

It is, without doubt, the epitome of cowardice to target the most innocent creatures of all, children going to school. Yesterday, you took away from us our next generation. We have nothing left, but a will higher than ever before to not let you break us. We will not forget December 16, and we will not forget the 130 plus. You may attack our schools, but for every attack you plan and execute, there will be hundreds of thousands of students out there to lead vigils, burn candles, pray for the deceased and strive to bring you down. We will not forgive. We are, by no means, a nation of quitters, we will not let go. We have never been afraid of sacrifices, and we do not forget those you have taken away from us. Every day as you impose your tyranny on us, our resolve to fight you only grows.

It is with deep discomfort that I realise I have but words to answer you. Your insecurities are shown by the fact that books and pens frighten you. You can shoot down Malalamartyr Aitzaz and end the life of over 130 children in Peshawar. But the Malala’s and Aitzaz’s of this country will never stop emerging and they will never be forgotten. For every life you take, you create even more mortal enemies. Your apologists in our mainstream media and politics fail you, for they can no longer hide you behind a faceless mask that hides and protects your identity. This nation of millions is out to get you, your kind and your ideology. It will not stop nor will it take rest until the very roots of the menace like yourselves are exterminated from this country.

Whether it be the Karachi Airport, the Wagha border or the Army Public School, we will not lock ourselves up in our homes and give in to your attempts at frightening us. We will show up again, the next day, with the same commitment and greater resolve. This nation of millions has endured a lifetime of sacrifices; we are no strangers to losing our loved ones for causes greater than ourselves. And by God, this cause is greater than we will ever be. You threaten our way of life, our religion and our ideology. You threaten an entire civilisation and all the future of generations to come. You plan to impose on us an extremist ideology that would put to waste the sacrifices we have made over hundreds of years, we will not let that happen.

My heart bleeds for the children that will not make their way home again. It bleeds for the mothers who forced their children to go to school despite their insistence to take a day off. It bleeds for the families who will never be whole again. It bleeds for the friends who will never meet again. It bleeds for the children who will never be able to go to school without looking over their shoulder. It bleeds for the children who will not forget the sounds of what happened in Peshawar yesterday. It bleeds for the children who witnessed bloodshed and violence that will affect them for the rest of their lives. But it finds solace, in the millions that came together to condemn you as one. It finds rest, in the hope that there will be a tomorrow without you. It finds pride in the children who will continue to go to school.

Books will always be mightier than your guns. They will always have an impact more lasting, resounding and great than your weapons can ever have. Every child with a book and a pen will learn to abhor you. Every parent who sends their kid to school would have done their duty for their nation. We’re not a nation which stands down this easily. We’re a nation built on resolve, commitment and a sense of duty.

We are a nation built on the foundations of Unity, Faith and Discipline – and these ideals will be greater tomorrow than ever before.

We are Pakistan.

The question is why the mother nature has selected Pakistan for such a special treatment.

The answer lies in our actions, the reason is we don’t follow the laws of nature. Our attitude towards life is totally nonsense. we just wait for things to happen instead of making them happen, forgetting the fact that in Nature there are neither rewards nor punishments, there are consequences.Recommend

1)Arrest and charge ALL Imams who have been supporting the Taliban and some even ISIS. (A List has already been compiled, there are more than 18500 names on it. Imam Abdul Aziz is at the top)
2)Arrest>Try>Hang the so called “good” terrorists and demolish their headquarters. The number of organizations and off shoots is said to be around 1000. with more than 12000 buildings nationwide.

    Supporters of Taliban are
JUI. On record saying they support their agenda
Jamaat e Islami: On record claiming that the demands of Taliban are just.
JUD: led by a terrorist. full of terrorist.
PMLN: openly support Raiwind, both financially and through resources. Raiwind has been at the centre of Taliban Activity for quite some time.
Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi: openly support and recruit TTP jihadists.
Tehreek Nizam-e-Mustafa: openly support and recruit for TTP
Majlis-e-Tahaffuz-e-Khatme Nabuwwat: Openly support TTP, some of their leaders got banned in previous years, but organization remains open.

Why is that we still have confusion at who the enemy is and what the hell is happening? There has been madness going on in this country for the past decade now and no one has comprehensive idea as to what the enemy really. Our institutions dont tell us anything and god knows what schemes our happening in the background. ISI does not tell us anything. We are left to make our own theories. Conservatives think its yahoodis while liberals dont see anything beyond the point that “see it was the taliban” and then a big full stop, no questions asked. Why is that when some is struggling with all these questions, dares to find the truth, and is immediately labeled as an apologist?

The children of the Taliban is what need to be under the spotlight at this moment because as documentaries are showing, they are being turned into machines. A teacher of theirs said that “Our children are being taught not be afraid of death, and when one is not afraid of death, nothing can defeat him.” The children themselves are taking pride in this entropy and do not hesitate to say that they WISH TO BE PART OF THE TALIBANS WHEN THEY GROW UP as our children would say they wish to be part of the army. It is disgusting and sad to see these children being shaped into monsters.
Most suicide bombers are kids aged 7-15. Perhaps because they are young and before they realize anything they are told that they will go straight to heaven and therefore they blow themselves up.
The children in Peshawar being killed are a result of the heartlessness of the Talibans. They themselves do not feel anything therefore they attacked innocent beautiful children.
Their own children are dying why would they give a damn about someone else’s!
These children need to be saved or these TEACHERS need to be replaced. Maybe someone can pretend to be a Madrassa teacher while teaching the kids the true Islam so as these kids grow up they wont be part of the Talibans.
Someone needs to emotionally manipulate them… if all else fails. Bomb them at large. The kids especially, just as they did. To eliminate their filthy existence.Recommend

Above are few examples which could create doubts in any sane mind. And Lakhvi has been released by the court hence why such a pain in your country? This is same argument you guys put in the case of Modi for mastering the Gujarat Massacre. Recommend

  • Prashant

You can have doubts as much as you like because clearly promoting terrorism in India and Afghanistan while dreaming of peace at home is a mindset Pakistan has not yet come out but the world is convinced what Pakistan is upto. Your own Govt has confessed the fact that the 26/11 attacks were planned and executed by the Pakistanis but the Pakistani govt not being able to prosecute the terrorists they have produced to bleed India for lack of evidence is nothing but a charade.

Samjhauta Express- who told you that Indians were involved in these attacks, was it not Indian authorities, you did not have to give us evidence or had to put pressure on India.

There has to be a limit to a blinkered imagination to claim that the entire attacks were orchestrated by India to get rid of Hemant Karkare but then nothing else can be expected of people who claim 9/11 was an inside job and Osama did not die in Abottabad.Recommend

  • Prashant

“Pl provide some credible link where GOP has confessed that 26 /11 attacks were planned and executed by the Pakistanis as I haven’t come across to such a confession.”

How come you know so much about the baseless theory of 26/11 being an inside job and not what your own interior minister of the time said:

I have never denied that Mukti Bahini was trained and armed by India. what happened in Peshawar was a terrorist act, make no mistake about that and I hope none of the state agencies were involved in that, having said that, if Pakistan has a right to fight its perceived/ real enemies using proxies, the countries at the receiving end reserve the right to give it back.Recommend
