Fauzia Kasuri: Fight for PTI's interests, not your own!

Lastly, please stop calling yourself the “Mother of PTI”. The term makes PTI followers like me want to laugh...

Dear Ms Fauzia Kasuri,

You have been affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for a long period of time, and you have been a valuable addition to the party. However, the past six months have been another story altogether. You had several grievances against PTI, ranging from feeling overlooked to not being allotted a post or a party ticket.

Honestly, we Insafians are tired of your forever-changing statements. You joined the party only to take credit for all it does. Later, you left it because your own demands were unsatisfied. Even worse, you abused the party before the media at a very sensitive point. Now suddenly, after all those huge claims you made, you have rejoined PTI!

These swings of temperament bring your loyalty to PTI in question. To tell you the truth, you and Ms Mazari have way too many complaints and it is mainly due to these endless problems you both keep bringing up that many PTI workers would be happy to do away with your services any day of the week. If it wasn’t for Imran Khan’s insistence, we probably would have let go of you by now.

I must remind you here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf does not consist of Imran Khan only. From the very beginning, your focus was on working with Imran Khan only instead of the party as a whole. You never worked on your relationships with other party members and you still don’t make the required effort. How do you expect anyone to lobby for you then, given that you have never made an effort with them?

Just take a look at political parties globally. In the US, for instance, Republicans and Democrats both have lobbyists. There are groups within groups. If you can’t fight your own case within these clusters through political dialogue, it shows that you are lacking as a politician and party worker.

It’s time for ‘founding members’ like you to learn that being part of a political party requires cooperation since everyone within the party is rarely on the same page. A political party is full of internal politics that need to be worked out and resolved. If you can’t play your role well, you are accountable for that failure. It is your fault because everyone in your position is responsible for their own successes and failures.

Yes you are a housewife and a mother – as you have already emphasised before the media, but Ms Kasuri, you’re not the only Insafian to have these roles. There are a number of women in PTI with the same responsibilities, yet, we don’t see these workers throwing a tantrum every few weeks. Why do you consider yourself more important than the rest?

Since your first interview with Kashif Abbasi, you have continued to complain non-stop. From now on, it’s my humble request to you that if you make public appearances, stop divulging everything that happens inside the party. Put forward a more united front in the interest of the party, instead of concentrating on your own interests only.

After all, being a politician requires you to be thick skinned and resilient. If you don’t have what it takes, you should consider choosing a different career path for yourself.

Lastly, please stop calling yourself the “Mother of PTI”. The term makes PTI followers like me want to laugh out loud.

After everything is said and done, the fact remains that you have decided to rejoin the PTI – so welcome back. Here’s to hoping that you do a better job this time around.

Kind Regards,

Ali Waqar – An Insafian.

Mr. IK has spend so much time and energy to train FK for a variety of missions, but she fights in such a way as to undermine the overal framework of PTI institution. Yes, i have a bad feeling about such politicians.
