The A to Z of the world’s sexiest women

Men dream about them and women dream of looking like them. Beauty may be skin deep, but sexiness goes a long way. This list counts down some of the world’s most attractive celebrities who are captivating, charismatic and often virtually ageless. Although many have had work done (from fillers and rhinoplasty to hair extensions), it’s not as extreme as some of their contemporaries. From starlets, thespians, royalty and models, whether Euro, Hollywood, Latina, Bollywood or Pakistani, there’s enough collective allure on this list of 50 to knock down a billion men: Amanda Seyfried, 25 – Hollywood actress who shot to fame with Mamma ...

Fashion police: 68th Golden Globes Awards 2011

The Golden Globes are unique in that they represent both worlds of television and motion pictures in a relatively intimate affair with round table dining and champagne, leading to some movie and TV stars exhibiting, shall we say, more entertaining behaviour than at other black tie events. Here, pre-Oscar accolades are awarded to outstanding film categories, and post-Emmy recognition is given to the finest in television.  The Globes are also about fashion on the scale of fairytales—dramatic couture, dazzling diamonds, gowns with trains, upswept hair, exquisite shoes, beautiful clutches, all worn by some of the western world’s most captivating actors. The wicked women of Bigg Boss IV

It started for me three weeks ago – while channel hopping looking for something entertaining to watch on television at home, I came across an Indian channel showing an intensely heated argument between some celebrities hailing from popular Star Plus soaps. Be nice to comedians and maybe they’ll stay

Or that no one did that sort of thing unless the said person was a high paid celebrity wearing dark glasses and surrounded by security guards and paparazzi. This guy was wearing thick framed glasses and paying his grocery bill, alone. I told her ...

Banning Bin Laden

Our board of censors is inherently flawed, of dubious intellect and highly erratic in its thinking. Often acting as a right wing morality police, the board of censors has in recent history been responsible for the banning or total perversion of quality theatre, film and television. In a country where new ideas and fresh art has the potential to propel Pakistan forward and to make us think and appreciate a world outside the confines of our four walls, the censors act as a consistent impediment. On the one hand the current government is making all the right noise about free ...

The not-so-glamorous job of a reporter

It is a tough job, sometimes, for reporters like me. Generally, we need to be in a position where we can remotely or even acutely be in touch with a high-profile person of our area of interest. If it’s a political reporter, he has to have access to the higher ups in the political arena; sports reporters should be able to interact with sportsmen and a reporter designated to cultural and art fields is bound to be in a capacity to know all the faces of the ‘glam’ entertainment world. While others might rejoice reading a piece and think it lucky ...
